What Esaforesi is, how bioresonance helps active formulations reach the tissue, what it is used for on face and body, and what a session in Palma involves.

What is Esaforesi? A clear guide to the needle-free treatment

Esaforesi is a needle-free aesthetic technology that helps active formulations penetrate the skin and underlying tissue in a localised, controlled way. It is used on both the face and the body, it is painless and there is no downtime. If you have come across the name in Palma de Mallorca and are wondering whether it is worth a closer look, this guide explains it plainly, without the hype.

Esaforesi in a nutshell

Esaforesi was developed by Coherence, a company from San Marino that specialises in biophysical technologies for aesthetics. Its technical description is “intracellular transport in bioresonance”, which sounds complicated but describes something quite simple.

A specific active formulation is applied to the skin, and the technology helps those actives travel into the tissue, exactly where they are needed. Nothing is injected and there are no needles at any point. Instead of trying to push a product through the skin mechanically, the system works from the outside in.

It is still relatively unknown in Spain, and at the moment Amarse is the only centre in Palma that offers it.

How bioresonance works, in practical terms

Bioresonance is the principle the system is built on. You do not need to understand the physics to decide whether the treatment suits you, but it helps to know what it means in the treatment room:

  • No needles, no injections, no marks afterwards.
  • No pain: most people describe the session as a chance to lie down and switch off.
  • No downtime: you can go straight back to work, the school run or the beach.
  • Targeted application: we work on the specific area that needs attention rather than treating everything at once.

That last point matters. Because the effect is localised, the same technology can be used for quite different goals, from facial skin quality to body contouring, simply by changing the formulation and the area.

The ESAFOR formulations

The technology never works on its own. Each protocol is paired with one of Coherence’s own formulations, each designed for a particular goal:

  • ESAFOR 1: localised fat and reshaping the body’s contours.
  • ESAFOR 2 Body: tone and elasticity, for skin that feels firmer.
  • ESAFOR 2 Face: the face, sensitive skin and delicate areas.
  • ESAFOR 3: tissue quality, cellulite and fibrosis.
  • ESAFOR 5: tone and firmness of the bust.

This is why there is no such thing as a standard Esaforesi session. Which formulation we use, on which area and in what sequence is decided only after we have assessed you properly.

What it is used for: face and body

One technology, many different goals.

On the face

Esaforesi is used in protocols for ageing skin, radiance, sensitive skin and skin prone to breakouts. The aim is to improve the quality of the skin itself: hydration, firmness, texture and evenness of tone. If this is what interests you, our anti-ageing facial is a good place to start.

On the body

On the body it is used for body contouring, cellulite and fibrosis, fluid retention, firming, bust and buttocks, and stretch marks and scars. Cellulite in particular responds well to a tissue-focused approach, which is why our cellulite treatment is built around Esaforesi with ESAFOR 3.

What a session at Amarse looks like

Here is what happens, step by step:

  1. Consultation. We start with a conversation: what you would like to change, your daily habits, any previous treatments and anything about your health that is relevant. We look at your skin or tissue and record your starting point with photos and measurements.
  2. A plan made for you. We choose the ESAFOR formulation, the area to treat and the pace of sessions, and we explain the plan clearly before you commit to anything.
  3. The session itself. It lasts between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the protocol. All you have to do is lie back and relax.
  4. Follow-up. We compare photos and measurements as the course progresses and, when the time is right, suggest a maintenance plan.

Please note that treatments at Amarse are carried out in Spanish, so it can help to note down your questions before the consultation.

How many sessions will you need?

It depends entirely on you and on what you want to work on. Many people notice changes from the first sessions, but the most lasting results come from completing a full course, followed by maintenance and supported by healthy habits. We will suggest a specific number at your consultation, never before, because guessing without seeing you would not be honest.

Is Esaforesi the same as mesotherapy?

No. Mesotherapy delivers actives through micro-injections. Esaforesi does not use needles at all: the actives are applied to the surface and bioresonance helps them reach the tissue. That makes it an appealing option if you want an advanced treatment but would rather avoid injections altogether.

Is it right for you? A quick checklist

Esaforesi may be worth discussing at a consultation if:

  • you want to improve skin quality or body contours without needles or downtime;
  • you have a specific area that concerns you, rather than a vague wish to “do something”;
  • you are happy to commit to a course of sessions and to support it with good habits;
  • you prefer a gradual, natural-looking change over a dramatic one.

As with any treatment, there are situations in which Esaforesi is not recommended (pregnancy is one example). We always go through this with you at the consultation, before anything else.

When you are ready, you can book a consultation online via Fresha or send us a message on WhatsApp.

Frequently asked questions

Does Esaforesi hurt?

No. It is a non-invasive treatment with no needles involved. Most people find the session genuinely relaxing and some even doze off.

How long does an Esaforesi session last?

Between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the protocol and the area being treated. We will tell you the expected length when we plan your course.

Where can I have Esaforesi in Palma de Mallorca?

At Amarse Beauty Clinic, Carrer Ricard Ankerman 3, in Llevant. You can book online via Fresha or send us a message on WhatsApp.

Can Esaforesi be combined with other treatments?

Yes. At the consultation we look at whether it makes sense to combine it with a peel, a revitalising treatment or another advanced aesthetic protocol, depending on your goals.

Is there any recovery time?

No. After the session you can carry on with your day as normal, whether that means going back to the office or heading out for the evening.

Do I need to prepare for my first session?

Not in any special way. Simply come to the consultation with an idea of what you would like to improve and a note of any previous treatments, so we can plan properly.
